Hygiene Camps

The hygiene in India, especially in the poor areas, is of a low standard with the consequences of diseases. Typically, the children have bad teeth making them suffer and making it harder for them to concentrate on learning when they are at school. As many children have bad teeth already at a young age, we have chosen this as a focus and provided tooth brushes and tooth paste for them. We have reached agreements with the schools that the children brush their teeth at least once a day while they are at school. The plan is that tooth brushes are renewed three times a year to keep up the dental hygiene. To teach the children to brush their teeth correctly, instruction was carried out at the schools by the dentists from Chettinad Hospital, who also treat the children for their dental problems.
